Introduction to the Incense Dou: Burning the Incense Dou is a major custom during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The incense bucket is made by a paper-making shop, using paper and gauze as raw materials, painted with decorative patterns, or made of incense sticks, with moon palace shapes and colorful flags inserted on it. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, incense sticks are lit in the incense bucket. After the incense sticks are burned out, the incense bucket is placed in the courtyard and lit, which means praying for peace and auspiciousness.
