Introduction to Shanmen Hall: The first hall of the Jade Palace is called "Shanmen". It got its name because in ancient times, many temples were built deep in the mountains. Most of the large palaces and temples are buildings with three gates. The "three gates" symbolize the "three realms" of Taoism.
