It was built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty and covers an area of ​​more than 1,000 square meters. It is a well-preserved private residence in the Qing Dynasty. This house was originally built by a martial arts scholar named Yang in the Qing Dynasty. It was later sold to Xiao Bingli, a prominent family in the area. His granddaughter Xiao Fangfang is a Hong Kong film actress. The Xiao Fangfang Performing Arts Center is now located in Xiao's house. The whole house has five entrances, with a compact structure and clever layout. Each entrance is higher than the previous one, which means "step by step". It fully embodies the unique artistic style of Su-style architecture and can be described as a masterpiece of private residential architecture in Jiangnan.
