Introduction to the Memorial Hall: The Fan Zhongyan Memorial Hall was originally a place where the Fan family paid homage to their ancestors. In September 1995, it was named one of the first batch of patriotic education bases by the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. In 1997, it was designated as a provincial-level patriotic education base by Jiangsu Province. The new museum was completed in October 2006. It has a Song Dynasty architectural style and a courtyard-style hall layout. It consists of three halls, one corridor and one room, covering an area of 600 square meters. The exhibition hall displays a combination of layouts and samples, focusing on murals, gold foil paintings, porcelain plate paintings, long lacquer carving scrolls, calligraphy scrolls, imitations of calligraphy and painting, album rubbings, woodcut screens, rare books, pictures and other forms.
