Introduction to Laozi's statue stele: This stele is engraved with a full-length portrait of Laozi. The stele is 1.8 meters high and 0.91 meters wide. It currently stands on the west couplet of Sanqing Hall. The portrait was written by Wu Daozi, the "painting sage" of the Tang Dynasty. The text above the portrait was written by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty and was written by Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher of the Tang Dynasty.
