Introduction to the Gustav III Museum: Gustav III’s Museum of Antiquities is located in the two wing galleries in the northwest of the palace. It opened for exhibition in 1794 and is one of the oldest museums in Europe.
King Gustaf III of Sweden was a keen collector of art and cultural relics. He collected many sculptures during his study tours in Italy in the 18th century. After his death, people collected more than 200 of his works. A sculpture display exhibition to commemorate.
