Introduction to the Jade Emperor Hall: The Jade Emperor Hall is dedicated to the Jade Emperor, Wang Lingguan and the land above. According to legend, the Jade Emperor was the son of King Guangyan Miaole. He abandoned his throne and went to the mountains to practice Taoism. After experiencing disasters, he finally achieved great perfection. The Jade Emperor is in charge of the three realms and ten directions, the four living beings and the six realms, and governs gods, earth, humans and ghosts. The ninth day of the first lunar month is the Jade Emperor’s Christmas Day.
