Introduction to the Eight Treasures Ruyi Pagoda: The Eight Treasures Ruyi Pagoda, located in the square in front of the temple, is the most unique symbol of Kumbum Monastery. It is said that these eight pagodas were built to commemorate the eight great merits of Buddha Sakyamuni in his life. The height of the pagoda is 6.4 meters, the circumference of the base of the pagoda is 9.4 meters, and the base area is 5.7 square meters. Their shapes are similar. The tower body is plastered with white ash, the base is made of blue bricks, and the waist is decorated with scriptures. There is also a Buddhist niche on the south side of each tower body with Sanskrit texts hidden inside.
