Introduction to the Nanzhao Dehua Monument: The Nanzhao Dehua Monument is erected at the "national gate" of Taihe City in Nanzhao. The double-eaves pavilion in the Tang Dynasty architectural style outside the monument is called Nanzhao Stele Pavilion. It was built in 1983 to protect the Dehua Stele. The huge stone stele in the pavilion is the Dehua stele, which is the largest Tang stele in Yunnan. The Dehua Monument is a monument in which Nanzhao people praise Ge Luofeng's literary and military achievements. The inscription also emphasizes Nanzhao's unwillingness to rebel against the Tang Dynasty. The two wars between the Tang Dynasty and Nanzhao both occurred during the Tianbao period of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, and were known as the "Tianbao War" in history. It should be said that the main responsibility for the war lies with the Tang Dynasty; and the defeat of the Tang army shows that the Nanzhao regime has become a force that cannot be underestimated.
