It was first called the present name in the Republic of China, which originated from the forgery of the "Book of Heaven" by Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty. "Tian Kuang" means a gift from heaven. It is said that on the sixth day of June in the first year of Dazhong Xiangfu in the Northern Song Dynasty (1008), the "Book of Heaven" descended on Mount Tai. Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty built the Tiankuang Hall in Mount Tai the following year to thank God.
