Fir Tree Introduction: Fir Tree was created in 1984. The Moomins are hibernating, their bellies filled with fir leaves because Christmas is approaching, and Himmelon's loud voice wakes them up. Moominmamma wonders if Santa Claus will be hungry, because Himmelon says worriedly that he hasn't prepared any food for Santa yet. After everything was ready, the Moomin family waited and waited for Santa Claus to arrive. But he didn't come. Instead, hungry little Woody came from the forest to enjoy the fir leaves. They had the best Christmas of their lives: good food, presents, and a beautifully decorated tree. Seeing that Santa Claus would not come, the Moomin family went back to hibernation until the following spring.
