Moominmamma and Yami introduction: Moominmamma and Yami is a set of three paintings, created in 1984. A set of steps on the left called Dangerous Lighthouse Steps: Moominmamma never really liked the lighthouse steps, she found them intimidating. But for Yami, the steps are just a fun part of the adventure. The final goal is achieved, and they live in a real lighthouse. In the middle is Moominmamma's dream garden: Moominmamma was homesick. In this round lighthouse, she began to paint based on the most beautiful things she remembered in Moominvalley, all the things that could not survive and bloom on this desert island. She draws them all. The ones on the right are named Moominmamma and Yami: They collect driftwood on the beach and bring it to their own lumber yard, where they saw it into pieces of firewood of suitable size. Yami was pounding on a chopping board filled with nails.
