Introduction to Liu Zhai: The gate of Liu Zhai faces east, facing Cuizi Lake, and is located on the south bank of Dongxiao River. The owner of the house, Liu Bingjun, was a wealthy gentry in the business world. He owned a wood shop in Tangqi and a mountain goods shop in Shanghai. He was killed in Tianjin in his later years. The Liu family originally had an old hall, but later built a new hall with a garden inside. A movie about Du Shiniang was filmed. Due to historical reasons, the old halls and corridors were demolished and Tangqi Hotel was built. The remaining Liu's House is the new hall, and there is also a side house to the north. It was built in the early Republic of China. It is surrounded by high walls and black tiles, carved corbels, flower doors and windows. It has a sophisticated structure and extraordinary style. It is the largest remaining hall in Tangqi.
