Introduction to Dabei Temple: Dabei Temple is the best-preserved and largest Bafang Buddhist temple in Tianjin. The temple consists of two parts: the West Courtyard and the East Courtyard. The West Courtyard, also called the Old Temple, was first built in the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and expanded in the eighth year of Kangxi. It consists of the Cultural Relics Hall and the Abbot's Courtyard. The east courtyard, also called the new temple, was built in 1940. It consists of the Tianwang Hall, the Main Hall, the Great Compassion Hall, the Ksitigarbha Hall, the side hall, the wing rooms and the cloister, and is the main body of the temple.
