Introduction to Camel Peak: The quartz sandstone is interspersed by rock veins, and the rock veins are weathered and denuded to form cliffs. From a distance, the ridge looks like a camel, with its head, twin humps and tail clearly visible. This is formed by erosion, weathering and erosion of sandstone.
