Introduction to the Buddhist Research Society: In order to prepare successors to the Tiantai Sect, Guoqing Temple established the "Buddhist Research Society" in 1985 to allow newly ordained young monks to learn Buddhism and select a group of young monks who have achieved academic excellence. He went to the Chinese Buddhist Academy to further his studies, passing on the teachings of the Tiantai Sect from generation to generation.
