Introduction to Jigong’s former residence: Jigong’s former residence is located in the ancient Yongning Village in the north of Tiantai City. This is the birthplace of Jigong Living Buddha and the place where Jigong lived and grew up in his youth. The former residence covers an area of 16 acres, with a construction area of 6,300 square meters. The scenic area is a collection of houses, streets, pavilions, pavilions, waterside gardens and gardens. It gathers the aura of the Buddhist country inside and captures the essence of the fairy mountain outside. It has become a wonderful place for worshipers from all over the world.
Jigong (?-1209), whose common name was Li Xiuyuan, was a native of Yongning Village, Tiantai, Zhejiang Province in the Southern Song Dynasty. He was a grandson of Li Zunxu, the consort of Ning Zhenzong. He grew up beside the Zhe River and studied Zen in Mount Chicheng. When he was still young, he converted to Buddhism. His nature is medium and clean, his behavior is wild and sparse, he helps the poor and the poor, suppresses evil and promotes good, he is a poet, wine and calligrapher, he has extraordinary attainments, he performs miracles, he is famous in the world, and people at that time call him "Ji Dian". He passed away in Jingci Temple on May 14th, the third year of Jiading. Later generations honored him as the "living Buddha".
