Introduction to the Zhuangyuan Tower: The Zhuangyuan Tower is speculated to have been built in the Tang Dynasty. Legend has it that during the prosperous Tang Dynasty, a golden lotus suddenly bloomed on the top of the Tianzhao Mountain rooftop, with a pair of red candles burning on the stamens, and the candlelight Go to the home of Wang Jishan, a scholar in Chengdu Plain, 500 miles away. Wang Jishan came from a poor family, but he was extremely intelligent and studious. He often read by moonlight at night. That day, I suddenly saw the water in my well glowing, and lotus flowers and red candles reflected in the well. He believed that God would help him, so he worked hard to study day and night. The next year, Wang Jishan passed the imperial examination and reported the matter to Empress Wu Zetian, who ordered him to investigate, and finally found out that the spirit appeared in Tianzhao Mountain, the gateway to northern Shu. Therefore, Wu Zetian allocated millions of taels of silver to build the Empress Hall, Sanbao Hall, Manjusri Hall, Daxiong Hall, etc. on the rooftop of Tianzhao Mountain. At the same time, she erected the Zhuangyuan Tower to commemorate her. From then on, monks gathered in Tiantai Mountain and the incense was strong.
