Introduction to the Tomb of British Martyrs: More than 40 British soldiers are buried in the Tomb of British Martyrs in the park. They all sacrificed their lives to help the Albanian people fight against German fascism during World War II. In 1994, the new Albanian government funded the renovation of the tomb of the martyrs.
