Introduction to Tongtian Rock: Tongtian Rock is the central scenic spot of the Grottoes. It is a natural ring-shaped mountain wall. On its cliffs, eight statues from the Tang Dynasty are carved, which are the earliest works of the Tongtian Grottoes. There is also a group of stone niche statues, with the Great Sun Tathagata in a meditative posture. On the left is Manjushri Bodhisattva riding a lion, and on the right is Samantabhadra Bodhisattva riding an elephant. They are works from the middle of the Northern Song Dynasty. Here, the essence of the Buddhist world is concentrated, and it is a symbol of Buddhism. A place where believers worship.
