Introduction to the Round Pavilion Fountain: The Round Pavilion Fountain is located at the west end of Mihapo Boulevard and is one of the most famous monuments in the city. The fountain is 12 meters high and 32 meters wide. The three marble statues on the top were carved by three sculptors. Each statue has a special meaning. The sculpture facing Mirabeau Avenue was carved by Joseph Marius Lammers (1805-1888) and symbolizes justice. The statue facing the Belgian Avenue leading to Marseille is the work of Louis-Felix Chabaud (1824-1902) and symbolizes trade and agriculture. Thirdly, the statue facing the Rue Napoleon Bonaparte leading to Avignon is the work of Hippolyte Ferrat (1822-1882) and symbolizes art. These three statues gave the fountain the nickname "Fountain of the Three Goddess". There are 12 bronze statues around, including lions, swans, angels riding on the backs of dolphins, etc.
