Monument introduction: A monument (Mëmëdheu ABC) erected in memory of the first Albanian school stands on the original site of the school, becoming a spectacular sight halfway up the mountain. The school was built in 1908. Due to Ottoman rule, the teaching of the Albanian language was prohibited.
