Stage introduction: There is a stage next to the clock tower, which is the venue for the Folklore Festival (Festivali Folklorik Kombëtar i Gjirokastrës), the most important cultural event in Albania. There will be up to a thousand performers performing traditional Albanian music and dance. They are not only from Albania and other Balkan countries, but also Albanian artists living in the United States and other European countries will come to participate.
