Introduction to St. Michael the Archangel Church: St. Michael the Archangel Church was built in the late 19th century and is the most spectacular building on Liberty Avenue. During World War I, the church bells were cut down by the Germans and shipped to Germany. During Soviet times it was used as a gallery. Today, it is a Roman Catholic church.
