Introduction to Porvoo Cathedral: There is a pointed-vault cathedral (Porvoo Cathedral) in the old city. It was built in the early 15th century and was the site of the first Parliament of Finland in 1809. As one of the most famous ancient churches in Finland, the cathedral was originally a wooden structure. After being damaged by many wars and fires, the current church was a stone structure rebuilt in the 15th century.
