Introduction to the Pisa Gora Gate: The Pisa Gora Gate is the main entrance to the city of Toledo, facing north. It is an Arab-style building built in the mid-16th century. Since the city gate is separated from the east and west by the Tagus River, this is the only gate that can enter the ancient city. The door is engraved with the imperial emblem of King Carlos I of Spain - the Imperial Eagle. Engraved on the city wall is the inscription given to Toledo by Spanish literary master Cervantes: "The glory of Spain, the light of the Spanish city."
