Introduction to the North Face: With an altitude of over 8,000 feet, the North Face reigns supreme alone. The mountain roads here are rugged and long, and the vast meadows are covered with wild flowers and soft aspen and spruce trees. Due to the altitude, the air here is thin and the sky is blue. If you're tired of crowds, this is the place to be alone in the wild. It is colder and more humid than the south face, and is only open to visitors from mid-May to mid-October each year.
