Introduction to Heping Academy: Heping Academy was founded in the Later Tang Dynasty, and its founder was Huang Qiao (871-953). When he was an official in the court, Huang Qiao's greatest ambition was to "restore the Tang Dynasty". When he felt that there was no hope of restoring the Tang Dynasty, he abandoned his official position and retired to Heping, where he founded the Heping Academy. The top of the north gate of the academy is shaped like an official hat, which reflects the old society's idea that studying is for becoming an official, and "excellence in learning leads to officialdom." The three doors form the word "pin", which means to be a high-ranking official. . To enter the academy hall, one must climb thirteen steps. The first six steps are for studying hard, and starting from the seventh level are seven grades to one grade, which means rising step by step. The wooden carved moon beam above the door looks like an open book, which means "opening the book is beneficial".
