Introduction to Olomouc City Hall: Olomouc City Hall (Czech: Olomoucká radnice) is located next to the central square. In 1261, Przemysl Otoka II granted Olomouc city rights. In 1378, he authorized the Moravian lord Jost Luxemburg to build a city hall. In the same year, the foundation stone was laid and construction started. It was a wooden structure when it was built in early 1410. It was destroyed by fire in 1417. In 1420, it was rebuilt with stone buildings, including the Olomouc Astronomical Clock, and was completed in 1443. The Olomouc City Hall was damaged during World War II, and the current building was rebuilt from 1947 to 1955.
