Introduction to the General Statue: In the center of the square stands the "Statue of General Yang Jingyu". The statue was erected in August 1989 with donations from people of all ethnic groups in Jingyu County. It was designed by Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and carved from light brown granite. It is located on a 3-meter-high black marble base with Peng Zhen on the front. In November 1986, Comrade Comrade Xi Jinping personally inscribed "National Hero General Yang Jingyu" with gold characters on a black background.
