Madame de Sevigny introduces: There is a well-known story in Grignan: a lady, a bunch of letters and a castle. The Marchioness of Sevigny, who was born into a Parisian aristocratic family, was young and widowed. She lived a lonely life with her daughter and son, and devoted all her efforts to her children, especially her daughter Françoise. She never created literature in her life, but she became a recognized female writer in the literary world because of the large number of letters she wrote to her daughter. Today, there is a statue of the lady in the town to commemorate her.
