Introduction to the heart-shaped lake: Due to climate warming, the ice covering the Spitsbergen area slowly melts, and the ice left behind during the shrinking process of the glacier carves out a heart-shaped depression on the ground. This is the heart-shaped lake. The lake is about 120 feet by 90 feet and is filled with rainwater and melted ice and snow. The view from a high place is quite romantic.
