Introduction to the Kap Shui Mun Bridge: The Kap Shui Mun Bridge was once the world's longest cable-stayed bridge for both driving and railway purposes (this record was set across Denmark and Sweden in 2000, with a main span of 490 meters across the Øresund Strait) bridge broken). The main span of the bridge is 430 meters long, and the total length of the approach road is 820 meters. The bridge is part of the Lantau Link, Route 8, spanning Kap Shui Mun and connecting Ma Wan with the Tsing Chau Tsai Peninsula on Lantau Island. The Kap Shui Mun Bridge is 47 meters above the sea and the bridge tower is 150 meters high. In terms of weight, the structural steel weighs 4,800 metric tons and the concrete weighs 73,000 cubic meters.
