Introduction to Turin: Turin is the capital of Piedmont, the third largest city in Italy and one of the largest industrial centers. The city was built during the Roman Empire and was a military location. It was also the capital of the Kingdom of Italy from 1861 to 1865. The 2006 Winter Olympics were held in this city.
