Introduction to the Handicraft Museum: The Handicraft Museum (Luostarinmaki Handicralts Museum) was officially opened to the public in 1940 and is one of the three major attractions in Turku. The museum is a historical representative of ancient Turku. It consists of more than 30 well-preserved courtyards of different sizes, compactly arranged on both sides of the criss-crossing gravel roads. Each courtyard is an independent handicraft workshop. The museum contains musical instruments, woodware, weaving, etc., with both exhibits and live performances.
