Mint introduction: The Mint (Zecca) is located on the west side of St. Mark's Square. It was designed by the Italian architect Santo Vino. It is one of the few buildings in Venice entirely made of stone. It was opened in 1870 It was the city mint until 2000, hence the name of Venice's gold coin Zecchino, which is worth collecting.
