Introduction to the Xiaoshui Battle: The Xiaoshui Battle Monument is located in Xiaoshui Village, Shanmuqiao Township, 36 kilometers away from Tongdao County. It commemorates the victory of the Sixth Army of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army against the enemy during the Western March in September 1934 during the Long March advance mission. It was built after a bloody battle fought by the 55th Brigade of the Army in Xiaoshui Dapojie. Xiaoshui Battle Building Complex mainly consists of three buildings: gate tower, pavilion and stele tower. On the core stone directly south of the main monument, there is an inscription personally written by General Xiao Ke of the former Red Sixth Army Corps - The spirit of the Red Army will last forever.
