Introduction to the Sixty-Four Steps Ladder: On the south side of the Main Hall is a stone staircase that goes up ten steps. It is called the "Sixty-Four Steps Ladder", which represents the meaning of the sixty-four hexagrams. It has green cypress trees on its left side and whirling bamboo shadows on its right side. Visitors come first. Not only can they stay away from the noise and chaos of the city and indulge in it, but they can also let their thoughts gallop through the tunnel of time and space. The heat wave is overwhelming at the foot of the mountain, but the cool breeze inside the temple is refreshing. No wonder there are still an endless stream of visitors to Wangu Temple in the midsummer. "Water flows out from the stone roots, and wind blows from the top of the mountain" is Su Dongpo's true description of this place.
