Introduction to Gan Ning's Tomb: Gan Ning died in battle and was buried in his hometown. However, because he was from Shu and served Wu, and because he died in the Yiling Battle that killed Emperor Zhaolie of the Shu Han Dynasty Liu Bei, his tribe was afraid of being tortured. Implicated, they all hide their names and avoid trouble in other places. Although the locals respected Gan Ning for his loyalty and bravery, they did not dare to publicize his honor, so they secretly built a mound of earth tomb for him here and did not dare to erect a monument to commemorate him. In 1932, after local teacher Du Jieshan rebuilt his tomb, he erected two steles for him for the first time in front of the tomb and at the head of the new Qinglong River Bridge. The inscriptions on the steles read "Grave of General Gan Ning" " and "The hometown of General Wu Zhechong and Governor Gan Ning of Xiling".
