Introduction to Jiaojiao Maitreya Buddha: Located in the sixth cave in the West District, there is a 3.5-meter-high Maitreya Buddha statue. The image has thin eyebrows, long eyes, a high nose and thin lips. Because it sits with its legs crossed, it is called "cross-legged Maitreya Buddha". Although the statue has been severely weathered, it is not difficult to see the compassionate and open-minded demeanor of the Buddha. It can be said to be a masterpiece of Northern Wei Dynasty statues.
