Introduction to Ciyun Zen Temple: Ciyun Zen Temple, formerly known as Guangji Temple, was built during the reign of Zhao You and Xianchun of Song Dynasty (1265-1274). During the Tianshun period (1457-1464), the emperor granted him the title of "Ciyun Temple". In the fifth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1577), the seventh year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1668), the eighteenth year of Qianlong (1753), and the sixteenth year of Daoguang (1836), pagodas and temples were built or added many times. In the tenth year of Xianfeng's reign (1860), the temple was destroyed by war and only the pagoda remained. Later, during the friendship between Tongzhi and Guangxu, local people raised money to build this pagoda. In the 13th year of the Republic of China (1924), Zhenze's "Silk Industry Association" donated 2,000 gold. In order to fulfill her husband's last wish, Xu Bishi, the widow of Xu Shixing, donated a huge sum of money to build the temple and rebuild the three couplets in the main hall. Now there is a plaque of "Ciyun Temple" inscribed by Zhao Puchu on the mountain gate.
