Introduction to the Palace Museum: The Palace Museum (Bogd Khaany Ordon Muayej) was originally the winter palace of the eighth living Buddha. It collects and displays Mongolian royal and Lamaist treasures for hundreds of years, including many gold or bronze statues. Buddha statues, embroidery and the world’s only leopard skin yurt.
