Introduction to Ladder Temple: It was built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 200 years. The main temple is built on a cliff 750 meters above sea level. A winding path 3 meters long and only 1.5 meters wide leads up to the temple. You can reach the temple through 18 steps. It can be called the hanging temple in northern China. There is a cliff hundreds of meters below the temple, which is steep and intimidating. Therefore, many people can reach the mountain but cannot enter the temple.
During the heyday of Ladder Temple, there were a total of 46 lamas worshiping the Buddha all day long. The temple was prosperous with bells in the morning and drums in the evening, the sound of wooden fish and the smoke of smoke. On every temple fair day, believers from all over the country come to worship and climb the stone steps to seek good luck.
