Introduction to the Muyuan Pagoda: The Muyuan Pagoda is a burial tool used to preserve ashes during the Xixia period. It has a unique shape and is completely preserved. It provides extremely precious physical information for the study of Xixia burial customs. It was unearthed in the Xixia Cemetery in the Western Suburbs Forest Farm in 1977. , designated as a national treasure.
The wooden edge tower is 75 cm high and the top edge is 47 cm wide. It consists of four parts: tower base, tower body, tower top and tower brake. The base of the tower is a four-level octagon, and the body of the tower is in the shape of an octagonal column. Each side is neatly written with Sanskrit Dharani and the name of the Dharani sutra in Chinese. The top of the tower is an umbrella-shaped octagon with colorful paintings on each side. There is a cloud pattern and a Sanskrit character. Except for the octagonal fence of the pagoda, the other phase wheels, covering bowls, and top of the temple are all round, tapering from bottom to top, and there are curly grass patterns painted around the base. On the whole, it appears to be of fine craftsmanship, solid and stable, soft colors, beautiful and elegant, and has a very high level of craftsmanship.
