Introduction to Chong'an Pavilion: Chong'an Temple is the oldest temple in Wuxi. It is said that it was originally the residence of Wang Xizhi, a calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and was later renamed Chong'an Temple. During the Xianfeng and Tongzhi years of the Qing Dynasty, there were two fires in Chong'an Temple. Except for the Main Hall, most of the buildings were burned down, leaving a large open space. It gradually evolved into a place where folk entertainment and snacks gathered, and is now the core of Chong'an Temple Pedestrian Street.
Chong'an Temple has been rebuilt in recent years and named Chong'an Pavilion. The pavilion was built at the location of the original Main Hall, with three floors. Each floor has murals expressing Wuxi's history, culture and folk customs. Looking at the high pavilion of Qiongtai, the momentum is extraordinary, surrounded by shops and bustling people.
