Introduction to Shenlu Terrace: There is a statue of two deer on Shenlu Terrace, and there is an inscription "The Story of Shenlu Terrace" on the brick wall. According to legend, Emperor Shun was accompanied by two deer when he was touring the south. Unfortunately, Emperor Shun died of illness in the Cangwu Wilderness. "All the people were in great mourning, but the two deer were especially mournful. They galloped around the mountain, chirping in sorrow, mourning for three days, and their voices were heard for nine days." Later, in grief, he jumped down the Guijiang River at the foot of Baiyun Mountain and went upstream. "On the way, he met Emperor E and the two concubines Nvying, who knelt down to report the bad news." When the two concubines heard the bad news, they were so sad that their tears fell on the bamboo, and the bamboo was hung up. Their stained tears turned into mottled bamboo, which is called Xiangfei Bamboo. In the end, the second concubine "thrown herself into the Xiang River to die for the emperor, followed by two deer."
