Introduction to Zhu Pi's Memorial: "Zhu Pi's Memorial" uses five memorials to reflect in a concentrated manner the time taken by the Hulishan Fort from "proposal", "preparation", "exhibition", "postponement" to "starting construction" and "completion" A difficult process of twenty-two years (1874-1896).
The construction of the Hulishan Fort began in the 13th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1874). Due to funding problems, the construction of the fort and the purchase of cannons had twists and turns. With the joint efforts of Baoquan, the "planning" began in the 13th year of Tongzhi (1874), the "preparation", "exhibition" and "extension" began in the 14th year of Guangxu (1888) to the 20th year of Guangxu (1894) "Construction started" and "completed" in November of the 22nd year of Guangxu (1896). After 22 years, the fort was finally "assembled in numbers" and built.
