Introduction to the Exhibition of Qi Baishi’s Calligraphy and Paintings: The twelve pieces of Qi Baishi’s calligraphy and paintings collected by our museum were created in 1953 when the “Drum Tower Exhibition Hall”, the predecessor of our museum, was preparing to open. Out of the high admiration for Qi Baishi and his artistic achievements, after many twists and turns , with the help of Premier Zhou Enlai, we finally obtained these twelve treasures specially created by Mr. Baishi for the Drum Tower Exhibition Hall.
