Introduction to the banquet given by the court: After the Chang Shen official retires from the court, the Taiguan Office of Guanglu Temple will give him food. Because it is under the two corridors of the court, it is also called "corridor food". This system began in December of the fourth year of Zhenguan (AD 630). Emperor Taizong issued an order for all officials to have a meal in the corridor outside the court after they retired from the court, and then gradually became a system. "The royal kitchen in the corridor distributes cold meals, and the fragrant cavalry in front of the palace chases flying balls." Zhang Ji and others have many records in their poems.
