Introduction to the Linde Hall ruins: Linde Hall is located on a high ground to the west of Taiye Pond in the Daming Palace. The total ground floor area is about 5,000 square meters. It is composed of four halls (two of which are buildings) closely connected from front to back. The largest palace in China. This was the place where Emperor Tang held banquets, informal interviews and entertainment. The emperor often held palace banquets, watched music and dance performances, and met with envoys here. In 703 AD, Wu Zetian met here and hosted a banquet in honor of Awada Masato, the Japanese envoy to the Tang Dynasty. Emperor Daizong of the Tang Dynasty once entertained more than 3,500 soldiers of the Shence Army here. At that time, officials in the Tang Dynasty were proud to attend the Linde Hall banquet.
